Her parents are Harvey Welker, a Native American Father and Julie Welker, an African American mother. Her mother is a real estate agent while her father works as engineer. Walker was a student at the Germantown Friends School of Philadelphia's Germantown and graduated with an award in 1994. Then she attended Harvard College where she earned the Bachelor of Arts degree in 1998. Welker and John Hughes, a famous marketing director at Merck Philadelphia with two children together. They began to have an affair. John husband of hers has four years less than her. Their relationship was developing so well, they decided to take this to the next level.
