Anna Silk is a Fredericton native, the daughter Peter Silk, who was an academic. Her mother, Ilkay Silk, had a diverse range of skills, such as being able perform, direct production, create plays as well as teach and serve as director of drama at St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton and is the child of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is a "English-Turkish Cypriot expat" who hails originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending rehearsals for performances as a kid and watching her mom working. As a child, she played in commercials for a number of companies. Anna moved to Toronto in November of 1999, to further her acting career. She eventually settled down in Los Angeles (California) over the next decade. She was introduced to Seth Cooperman in 2007 at an actors' workshop located in Los Angeles, and they got engaged in the year 2009. Anna began her journey to becoming a Jewish woman in 2011 after converting to Judaism. They were married civilly in December of this year. They then reaffirmed their vows during a Jewish wedding ceremony that took place in Fredericton the month of April in 2011. Bo's relationship with Lauren was highlighted by CNN's most popular TV Couples in the history of television and was named top Television Couple in 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Anna's popularity on the internet grew thanks to the popularity of the series.
